DraftDesk is operated from equipment we control. This page says what we collect, what we do with it, and what rights we reserve over it.

What we collect

Retention

We may retain your uploads, the text recognised from them, and the files we produce for you indefinitely, including after an account is closed. We use them to provide the service, to reproduce and support past work, to investigate faults, and to test and improve the accuracy of the service.

You may ask us to delete material associated with your account and we will do so within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it, or where it exists in backups that expire on their own schedule.

What we do not do

Who can see your material

Your uploads and drawings are visible to you and to people we authorise to operate and support the service. They are not visible to other customers.

Documents about other people

Deeds routinely name people who are not you. Where a recorded instrument is a public record, we handle it as such. By uploading a document you confirm you are entitled to do so.

Email

We email you about your account and about work you have asked us to do - confirming your address, and telling you when a batch is ready.

Security

Connections to this site are encrypted. Passwords are encrypted and unable to be read by us. While we make every effort to ensure that your data is safe, it is possible that we could fall victim to a cyberattack. In the event that your data is accessed by a third party, we are not liable except to the extent that the law allows.

Changes

We may update this page. The date above is when it last changed. Continuing to use DraftDesk after a change means you accept the current version.
